But let’s see, I generally trust Kompany to develop further, but it has to happen quickly. The situation is actually good: the competition is weak across the board this season, Liverpool can also be beaten, as you can see in the league, Bayern has a broad squad with high quality, the final is in Munich…
I have no idea what kind of take that is supposed to be about the supposedly oh-so-weak competition, especially when you conceded 8 goals against Barca, Aston Villa and Feyenoord (with a sad self-scored goal) and behind teams like Monaco, Lille and Villa , Dortmund, Feyenoord or Brest (no offense) in 15th place.
“Liverpool beatable, as seen in the league”? That’s right, they have already suffered a single defeat this season and are unchallenged at the top of the CL table without losing any points. It’s crazy how weak they are.
Bayern will have nothing to do with the CL title with this style of play, that should have become clear by now. Wrong time for arrogance made in Bavaria.
Looking at the current table, you are of course right. And okay, I thought there were actually two or three defeats in the league, I obviously made a mistake, maybe. The defeat against Tottenham was also recorded incorrectly – so be it, then Liverpool is the biggest competitor, but wouldn’t they be unbeatable in a home final in June?
And until then it just depends on how things develop – I say, Kompany has to develop quickly. But yes, I see the competition as weaker this year than in previous years, that’s what I wanted to say (maybe I put it a bit too harshly):
– ManCity is nothing
– Madrid doesn’t even have half a back four anymore
– Arsenal, Dortmund, Juve, PSG, Leverkusen are worse than last season
– Milan, Bergamo and Barcelona are improved, but do you think they can win the CL? You can calculate your chances for Barcelona depending on your luck, but in addition to the furious games, there is also a lot of disaster
That leaves Inter, Atletico, Bayern and Liverpool – depending on how the next few weeks develop, I could see Bayern in second place on a seeding list.
For me, Bayern has the advantage with the deep squad, relatively little bad luck with injuries (Pavlovic comes back in time) and the home game in a potential final.
I wish things would turn out differently, but given the general conditions, I actually think Bayern’s chances are better this season than in previous years. I’ve already written something about the coach once or twice above.
