In Deloitte’s Football Money League, Los Blancos confirm their lead. Juventus slips from 11th to 16th place
Real Madrid have become the first club to exceed one billion euros in revenue in a single season (1045 million), securing the top spot in Deloitte’s Football Money League. Followed by Manchester City (838 million), Psg (806), Manchester United (771) and Bayern Munich (765). The top Italian team is Milan (398), thirteenth overall, ahead of Inter at 391, while Juve (356) slips from 11th to 16th place due to failure to participate in the European cups. The Bianconeri’s is the most significant drop in the rankings: 16th place is the lowest position in the history of the Money League.

Sporting performances have played a crucial role in the momentum of many teams, with Arsenal (717 million), Borussia Dortmund (514), Newcastle (372 and Aston Villa (310) all boosting revenues through participation to UEFA competitions and to the improvement of performances at a national level which have generated greater television revenues. Overall, the top 20 football clubs by revenue worldwide made a record 11.2 billion last season, +6% compared to 2022-23. Matchday revenues grew by +11% on an annual basis, exceeding 2 billion, but the clubs’ main source of revenue continues to be represented by the commercial part (4.9 billion, 44% of the total). TV rights are stable, at 4.3 billion. The five big leagues (Italy, Spain, England, France, Germany) are experiencing a period characterized by relatively stable media revenues thanks to long-term national TV rights contracts, which will last at least until 2027.

For the third consecutive year, Deloitte also analyzed the 15 women’s clubs that generate the most turnover and for the first time these clubs recorded overall revenues of over 100 million euros, at 117 million (+35%). Barcelona and Arsenal lead with 17.9 million. Then Chelsea (13.4), Manchester United (10.7) and Real (10.5).
