Three people were injured in a serious accident on Beukenlaan in Eindhoven. A motorist lost control and crashed into a lamp post, which broke off completely. The car ended up on the other side of the road and the person driving there was unable to avoid the car.
The driver who hit the lamppost became trapped in the car. The fire brigade cut open the driver’s car.
The driver was removed from the car and taken to hospital by ambulance. The condition of the driver is unknown.
Two other injured
The two people in the other car were checked by ambulance personnel but did not need to be taken to hospital.
The devastation on the ring road was great. Part of the road is closed and police are continuing to investigate.
It is not yet clear how the driver lost control of the vehicle.
