A fierce fire destroyed an outbuilding behind a house on Pastoor Feletstraat in Oijen last night. According to the fire brigade, it was a new garden house. The fire was discovered shortly after 4am.
The flames quickly spread and because the fire threatened to spread to nearby sheds of other houses, the fire brigade scaled up to a medium fire. An additional fire vehicle, water truck and duty officer were called in. The sheds were spared, but a fence reportedly caught fire. Nothing is known about the cause of the fire.
