I’m sitting in the cardiologist’s waiting room, waiting for my husband. A couple comes in. She takes the NRC from her bag and he looks at the television hanging on the wall, just like me. Suddenly he says to his wife: “The Netherlands in Motionyour morning program. Maybe you can join this lady.” He points at me. I thank him for the honor, to which he responds: “I don’t like it at all either.” From behind the newspaper it sounds: “Yes dear, that is why we are here now.”
