Gennez wants to better regulate the use of social media by young people: “You are not allowed to drive a moped under the age of 16”

Flemish Minister of Welfare Caroline Gennez is in favor of stricter regulation of social media use by young people. The Vooruit minister made this clear on Tuesday in the Welfare Committee in response to a question from Mercina Claesen (Vlaams Belang). “You are not allowed to drive a moped under the age of 16. Why not? Because it is dangerous and you need to have some competencies. Social media is also dangerous at times,” said Gennez.
