The ANWR Group trading association has promoted Bert Verdijck to general manager of the company ANWR Garant Nederland BV.
Verdijck had previously been managing director for sports in the Netherlands and Belgium. He had also been in charge of the Dutch subsidiary of ANWR Garant International GmbH on an interim basis since Dennis Hülse’s resignation last autumn.
Verdijck took up his new post on January 15th. At ANWR Garant Nederland he is now responsible for both the footwear and sports divisions and remains managing director for the sports division in Belgium. According to the company, Verdijck will in future report directly to the management of ANWR Garant International GmbH in Düsseldorf for the shoes sector and to the management of Sport 2000 GmbH in Mainhausen for the sports sector.
Praveen Yadav, CCO of ANWR Garant International, explained the personnel decision. “By appointing Bert Verdijck to this position for both divisions in the Netherlands, we are harmonizing the processes within our organization and will use the resulting synergies to best meet the needs of our members,” he said in a statement.
