It is a huge boost for Glennis Grace that she is welcome at Today Inside. In fact, she will already be there next Friday. Why is that suddenly? “That’s because of Angela de Jong.”

Johan Derksen has quite surprised people with his wish to bring Glennis Grace to the studio of Today Inside. There has been a lot of criticism, but the editors invited her and she sits on the bar stool on Friday evening. How is it possible that Johan suddenly wants her so badly? It has everything to do with Angela de Jong…

Lance broken

It’s good that Glennis comes by, Johan thinks. “I hear from the editors that she will come on Friday. I actually stood up for that lady. And that came… I read in Angela de Jong’s column that she said: ‘That lady should never appear on TV again.’”

Angela has written a column in which she indicates that she would rather never see Glennis on television again. “And if Angela says so…” Wilfred Genee notes.

Reformed

Johan is really annoyed by Angela and that is why she is never a guest in VI again. “Well, it’s starting to look like that. That Angela, with her bourgeois, reformed opinion, has a monopoly on wisdom. But look, that Glennis Grace has made a terrible mistake.”

How does he view the Jumbo riot? “At one point she could not control her maternal instincts and her gut feelings. He then proceeds to give a very vulgar turn around in a supermarket…”

Turn around ears

A euphemism, says Wilfred. “Well, a twist on the ears… You say to a 16-year-old boy: ‘I’ll slit your throat if you do it again.’ Those aren’t things you should shout, are they?

Johan: “No, she should not have done that.”

Wilfred: “No, I don’t think so, no.”

Johan: “But in any case: she was punished for that.”

Son of a bitch

Johan thinks that Glennis is screwed from all sides. “Her friends The Ladies of Soul… She was one of the better singers, but they thought: oh, public opinion. They weren’t friends, because they just kicked her out. Well, Wilfred, you know: we are friends and if you do something strange, I will remain your friend!”

“I may say you’re an asshole, but you’re still a friend. And those ladies sunk her nicely. And now it’s still getting cancelled. She’s not allowed to appear anywhere, but that woman didn’t commit murder! She went crazy and made a mistake!”

Blame

Wilfred is a lot more critical. “It was not convenient that in Ranking the Stars she started blaming other people for how she was portrayed.”

Raymond Mens: “No, that is certainly not convenient.”

Johan: “No, but that is the first mistake she makes again. You should never be in Ranking the Stars!”
