The competition is organized by the Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB). The audience award goes to André. Thank you for his commitment to the Oldenburg deaf sports club.

Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier presents the prize

At the finale in Berlin, Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier personally handed over the prize to the TSB Flensburg. The club prevailed there against the 15 other state winners as well as the winner from the Weser-Ems region. The Federal President previously praised the voluntary commitment that is practiced in sports clubs nationwide.

Award for child protection project

The Flensburg-based team has now also convinced the jury at the federal level with their project “A safe place for everyone”. For example, the club addressed the careless use of cell phones in changing rooms. According to its own information, the TSB Flensburg has around 5,300 members and offers more than 35 sports.

With the “Stars of Sports” the DOSB honors sports clubs that are committed to society with innovative and creative projects. The competition at the state level is also announced every year by the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken and the Schleswig-Holstein State Sports Association (LSV). The club won the “Stars of Sports” state victory in Schleswig-Holstein in November in competition with 32 other clubs.
