Amsterdam – After 471 days of captivity, they are finally free. Romi Gonen (24), Emily Damari (28) and Doron Steinbrenner (31) were among the 250 Israelis kidnapped by terrorist group Hamas on October 7, 2023. After months of tough negotiations, they became the first hostages to be released on Sunday after an agreement was reached on a truce. Israel, in turn, has opened the prison gates to some 90 Palestinian prisoners.
