Borussia Dortmund is in a crisis. Initial thoughts about personnel consequences should be avoided at BVB.
There are apparently signs of a personnel loss at Borussia Dortmund next summer. As Sky reports, five players are said to be on a possible submission list. The squad should therefore definitely be cleared out.
Captain Emre Can alone could be a prominent name. They are joined by Marcel Sabitzer, Niklas Süle, Giovanni Reyna and Karim Adeyemi. BVB coach Nuri Şahin has often mentioned a lack of mentality among some professionals in recent weeks. The five players mentioned may now have to look for another club in the summer.
However, it is currently completely unclear what will happen to Şahin himself. He still has the support of the club bosses, but if the goal of qualifying for the Champions League falls further out of sight, it is probably not out of the question that BVB will pull the ripcord after all (you can read more about the chaos in Dortmund here).
