In the German Ice Hockey League (DEL), the top game between leaders ERC Ingolstadt and the Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven was canceled due to an accident. As the team from Bremerhaven announced via Instagram, the game could not be continued due to technical problems at the start of the second third when the score was 0:2.

According to the ERC Ingolstadt live ticker, an ammonia line under the ice was said to be defective. The ammonia escaped at the level of the Ingolstadt Gate. There was initially no confirmation of this. Spectators were asked to leave the ice arena.
