Bonnie St. Claire has been caught with half a glass of wine by an alert Story editor. When her manager is confronted, he is not amused. “This is really absurd.”
Is it the bottle bank or is it Bonnie St. Claire? For years her neighbors in Aalsmeer couldn’t tell the difference, but nowadays she lives frugally. At least, that’s what she says. The singer appears in a vlog by Gerard Joling (see below) with half a glass of wine: what does that mean? Did she find her Gall & Gall loyalty card?

The Story is somewhat concerned about the worrying image that Gerard filmed while he was visiting the singer. “A partially filled wine glass is visible next to Bonnie. Many immediately expressed their concern, because Bonnie hasn’t been drinking for a long time, has she?
The reason Bonnie stopped drinking alcohol in 2018 was that her liver was seriously damaged. A spot was found on it, which was surgically removed and fortunately she had no metastases.
‘Absurd!’
If Bonnie has started drinking again, things could end very badly. Bonnie’s manager Hans van den Eerenbeemt, however, strongly denies to Story that Bonnie would drink again.
He says in the magazine: “No, a thousand percent no. No, no, no. Bonnie hasn’t drank in seven years. It’s absurd to even ask that.”
Gerard doesn’t want to say anything about it.
