Long Play publication has published a long article about the crisis in Finnish television production. Professionals in the field tell the publication that budgets for domestic series have tightened and savings are being made at the expense of quality and working conditions. Some of the interviewees appear in the story with their names, some anonymously.
The article reveals problems with, among other things, hit series Conflict and Pasila poison – Manni productions. In the latter series, the assistant director changed many times even before filming began, because everyone felt that it was not possible to shoot the series in the target schedule. The director of the series also changed during filming.

Experienced stage designer Markku Pätilä describes the Pasila Myrkky – Manni series as a “horror production”.
– It was completely classless behavior from the production company. Everyone who has been doing these jobs for a long time knew immediately that this schedule cannot be successful, Pätilä tells Long Play. The series was produced by Yellow Film.
