The Chinese fashion group Lanvin Group Holdings Limited has a new boss. On Thursday, the group announced the appointment of Andy Lew as Executive President. Lew had previously led the group brand St. John Knits as CEO.

At the head of the Lanvin Group, which, in addition to St. John Knits, also includes labels such as Wolford, Lanvin and Sergio Rossi, he replaces Eric Chan, who was appointed CEO at the end of 2023. According to the group, Chan moved to the board of directors. There was another change in the committee, which will now have nine members instead of the previous eight: Alan Liu took over Grace Fang’s seat there.

The group is planning to open a European headquarters

Lew has more than 35 years of experience in the fashion industry. Before joining St. John Knits, he held various management positions at well-known companies such as Brooks Brothers Group, Ermenegildo Zegna Group and Nordstrom.

New tasks now await him at the Lanvin Group. The group announced that, in addition to its headquarters in Shanghai, it would establish a second headquarters in Europe, which will be headed by Lew in the future. This step is intended to promote global expansion, according to a statement.

In addition, Lew will continue to play a “key role” at subsidiary St. John Knits International Inc., the company said. However, the day-to-day business of the brand will be managed by a newly formed management committee in the future.
