In autumn/winter 2025, Barbour celebrates its Scottish roots and returns to the place where the Barbour family’s iconic tartan pattern originated: the county of Ayrshire is characterized by extensive landscapes and home to the company’s founder John Barbour. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection fashionably places the country theme in an urban context, with modern fits, reinterpretations of well-known classics made from quilted nylon and waxed cotton, as well as warming layers.
#The Men’s Collection – Modern Heritage Barbour’s Scottish roots serve as the inspiration for the reinterpretation of classic models in the Modern Heritage Collection. Two new tartan patterns characterize the collection, including in the form of details and inner linings. The autumnal Riverstone Tartan features a clear color palette of Navy, Stone and Whisper White with accents of earthy red tones, while the darker Midnight Oak Tartan has a more wintery feel in the colors Dark Oak, Navy and Whisper White. For the transition between seasons, the collection includes T-shirts, shirts and lightweight showerproof jackets. Characteristic wax and quilted coats, alongside high-quality wool coats and soft knitwear made from a cashmere-merino blend, round off the collection.
High-quality materials from Italian textile manufacturers and high quality characterize the new Smarter Barbour line. The tailored jackets and trousers are made from soft moleskin, corduroy and wool in herringbone patterns or brushed checks. The cuts are modern and relaxed.
Heritage+
The Heritage+ Collection is inspired by Barbour’s iconic Solway Zipper wax jacket, which was first added to the collection in the 1960s. The line presents itself in a natural color palette such as shades of green from Archive Olive to British Khaki. Barbour’s signature Classic Tartan is featured in the lining. With oversized silhouettes and eye-catching pockets, the jacket styles are the highlight of the collection. Tartan, corduroy and metal trims adorn overshirts, sweaters and jackets, giving the collection a utilitarian look. The Heritage+ line is rounded off by retro prints from “Mr. Solway” on graphic T-shirts, soft tailoring styles and trousers made from corduroy and lightly waxed twill.

The Modern Heritage Collection for women impresses in autumn/winter 2025 with a feminine, quiet luxury look and high-quality materials. Coats and jackets in waxed cotton, quilted nylon and wool with toggle closures are presented in tonal earth tones. Drawstrings at the waist give quilted coats and showerproof jackets a feminine look. The seasonal Hessian tartan in a warm color palette adorns the lining, collar and hood of the various jacket models, giving them the unmistakable Barbour look. Color highlights are set by warm burnt henna and contrasting ice blue. Soft knits can be found in a large selection of sweaters, capes and dresses. Re-engineered for today
Barbour’s DNA is particularly reflected in the recurring design elements: timeless style, durable materials and functional details. In fall/winter 2025, the Re-Engineered for Today Collection impresses with tonal patchwork and oversized pockets on quilted and wax jackets. Shiny brass hardware contrasts with earthy olive tones and soft neutrals. Knitted sweaters and vests as well as overshirts with tonal corduroy trimmings are also in subtle shades of cream, brown and green. Deep Merlot sets highlights in jackets and knitwear. A double denim look completes the collection.
The Edit line presents quilted jackets and coats in the characteristic Barbour look with sophisticated twists: removable sleeves and coat elements create fashionable 2-in-1 pieces; Combined quilting patterns in different colors and large tartan patches create an individual look. An earthy color palette of olive and beech contrasts with black and light camel. In addition to heavy knits with fashionable jacquard or fairisle patterns, the collection features oversized trousers in black and matching cropped-style blouses.

Barbour icons
The Barbour Icons Collection puts Barbour’s popular Beadnell and Spey wax jackets and the Liddesdale quilted jacket in a new light: corduroy collar and sleeve cuffs appear in bright pink, orange and yellow. The models come in different lengths – whether as a classic or a cropped version. Materials are varied: classics made of waxed cotton can be found in the form of quilted nylon. Reversible liners with contrasting color cuffs on the pockets, inspired by the Liddesdale quilted jacket, complete the collection and enable a layering look for autumn and winter.
