(toskanews) – The torment of Palestinian mothers, sisters and daughters as their loved ones are buried in Deir el-Balah. In the Gaza Strip anxiously awaits truce following news of an imminent deal. But in the meantime the count of people killed in Israeli raids on the Strip continues. At least 24 people have been killed in attacks across Palestinian territory in recent hours with the Israeli army claiming to have targeted Hamas militants overnight.
Women in Gaza ask for a truce
«I have seen martyrs in pieces. In the morning they pulled a martyr out from under the rubble. We were all expecting a truce, but as you can see, this is the truce of the Israeli Jews”, says Palestinian Awni Abu Amra dejectedly.
«My son was at his house and slept with his wife and children. What is their sin if they bomb them? Is it to increase the number of deaths?”, says Umm Muhammad Al-Khatib, who lost her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in the latest Israeli raid.
«It is a difficult day that adds to the other days of suffering of our Palestinian people. This is an innocent family made up of elderly, sick and disabled men, children and women. Without any warning, an explosion ended their lives just like that,” explains Walid Shaqoura.
