In the FIBA Europe Cup last 16 round rematch, Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring lost 87-56 away to French representative LDLC Asvel Feminin and bid farewell to the tournament.
While the first period of the match played at Gerland Sports Palace ended with the advantage of LDLC Asvel Feminin, 18-13, Galatasaray entered the circuit trailing by only one point, 32-31. However, the French team took full control of the game in the second half, finished the third period ahead 52-40 and won the match by 31 points.
The yellow-red team, which won the first match played in Istanbul 77-72, could not avoid being eliminated from the European Cup with a different defeat in the rematch.
STARS OF THE MATCH
While Juste Jocyte and Dominique Malonga led their team to victory with 18 points each, Harris with 16 points and Quevedo with 10 points were the other prominent names in LDLC Asvel Feminin.
In Galatasaray Çağdaş Faktoring, Anete Steinberga was the top scorer of her team with 15 points, while Cecilia Zandalasini scored 10 points. However, these performances were not enough to prevent defeat.
