The number of asylum applications in our country was higher than expected last month. 3,560 people submitted an application in December, which is a lot more than the same month in previous years. Resigning State Secretary for Asylum and Migration Nicole de Moor (CD&V) responded in Parliament to questions from Greet Daems (PVDA) and Francesca Van Belleghem (Vlaams Belang).
