Just past the tunnel towards Aalbeke, a rear-end collision occurs in a traffic jam during the morning rush hour around 8.20 am. A large van drives into a stationary truck. The driver becomes trapped and has to be freed by the fire brigade. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The accident closed two lanes. Around 9.30 am everyone was able to move on smoothly again.
