Bouwunie believes that it is best to supervise a renovation project by a contractor. “Anyone who works on renovations day in and day out knows better than the contractor himself how to start such a project and carry it out correctly,” says Bouwunie CEO Jean-Pierre Waeytens. “Is the minister really calling for contractors to be ignored and all to do do-it-yourself or to call on undeclared workers?”
According to Bouwunie, the government would make better use of the money that goes to advice and guidance for more and higher support measures.
