Simoni is currently also on loan at third-class FC Ingolstadt; he was temporarily handed over to Schanzer by his parent club Eintracht Frankfurt last summer. The Albanian moved from FK Dinamo to SGE in January 2023, where he guarded the second team’s goal 22 times in the Regionalliga and Hessenliga and remained clean nine times. He once sat on the bench with the professionals.
According to the report, Eintracht will secure a buyback option worth 3 million euros for Simoni in the event of a permanent commitment from FCK. His contract in Frankfurt is dated until June 2027. Simoni only guarded the goal four times in all competitions for FC Ingolstadt, conceded three goals and kept two clean sheets. In Kaiserslautern, Avdo Spahic (27) is currently missing an injured goalkeeper.
