The new single “An Artist Is An Artist” is all about age discrimination and the desire for recognition.
After almost three years of silence, Skunk Anansie are back with a track release. The title of the approximately three-minute song: “An Artist Is An Artist”. In terms of content, the UK rock band deals with age discrimination and the desire for recognition in the age of social media. There is also a lyric clip for the new single.
David Sitek from TV On The Radio got involved
“An Artist Is An Artist” was produced by David Sitek (TV On The Radio). He has also worked for Solang and Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well as Santigold in the past. “His name seemed to be on a lot of records that we liked. But none of the records sounded the same. “They all sounded fresh, but most importantly, the artists all sounded like themselves,” said singer Skin about the producer in the press release.

Skunk Anansie will be touring Germany from March
The band will definitely be taking the new piece on tour in the spring. They can be seen live in this country from mid-March. The tour dates at a glance:
