The 9-year-old from Blaricum has already raised money for KiKa in various ways. Last year, she raised 3,550 euros by running the 5K Run during the Berlin Marathon together with her mother, bonus father, brother, niece and a friend.
But it doesn’t stop there. There are three bright orange deposit bins in front of her primary school, the Flevoschool in Huizen, and at the Frietboutique in Laren. The deposit collected from these wheelie bins is also donated to KiKa.
Cured
Danique has also had to deal with cancer herself. She was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two. Fortunately, she was declared cured two years later.
Although she remembers little about that time, she knows how important it is to raise money for children with cancer.
Blaricum’s youth ribbon
The youth ribbon is an award for young people between 6 and 18 years old who have done something special for Blaricum. Such as starting a fundraising campaign or helping someone else. The youth ribbon is different from a young person who does volunteer work, this is intended for one-off actions.
