Lewis Hamilton will start a new chapter in Formula 1 in 2025. From now on, the record world champion will be chasing the title in a Ferrari. There will not be a public appearance until February, as RTL/ntv and sport.de know.
According to information from RTL/ntv and sport.de Lewis Hamilton will have his first official appointment outside of Maranello on February 18th. All ten Formula 1 teams will present their new vehicle designs to the public in London on this date.
The 40-year-old has not yet been introduced to the world press by Ferrari. Hamilton is currently on vacation. However, the seven-time world champion will start working for the Reds shortly. Hamilton is expected to arrive in Maranello on January 20th to get to know his new employer.
The Brit will then quickly take a seat in a Ferrari. Hamilton will probably then be in a car with which he can also complete the upcoming 100-kilometer tire tests.

The record champion is starting his new challenge in Formula 1 full of enthusiasm. “I couldn’t be more excited for the year that lies ahead of us,” wrote Hamilton on the career platform “LinkedIn” at the beginning of the year.
The motorsport superstar wants to “take new opportunities with Ferrari, stay hungry and move forward with determination,” he said. The 105-time Grand Prix winner concluded his contribution in Italian with “Andiamo” (let’s go). The long-time Mercedes driver is keen on the Scuderia.
Ferrari is longing for its first constructors’ title since 2008. A year earlier, Kimi Räikkönen was the last Scuderia driver to be crowned world champion. Hamilton wants to follow in these footsteps with the traditional Italian racing team. The 40-year-old could become the sole record champion with his eighth World Cup title.
The foundation stone for this will be laid in Maranello from January 20th.
