Peek & Cloppenburg BV & Co. KG, Düsseldorf (P&C) has appointed Anna Rusche to the role of Buying Director.
Rusche took on her new role at the Düsseldorf fashion retailer at the beginning of the year and reports to Purchasing Managing Director Uwe Fehr, a spokeswoman confirmed. The trade magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on it. She is responsible for the “newly tailored” young fashion, sports and sneaker area, which includes women’s and men’s clothing.
The new buying director comes from SportScheck
With Rusche, P&C has brought an experienced buyer into the team. She was most recently active for SportScheck for more than seven years. According to her own information on the career network Linkedin, she took over the position of buying director at the Munich sports retailer in mid-2017, when the company was still part of the Hamburg trading group Otto Group. She remained active in this role even after the takeover by Signa Retail GmbH. In November 2020, Rusche was appointed Chief Merchandise Officer. She also retained this task for the time being after the next takeover by Sport Voswinkel GmbH, a subsidiary of the Italian trading group Cisalfa Sport SpA. But last September they parted ways.
Before her time at SportScheck, Rusche was a team lead for sports purchasing at the Berlin online retailer Zalando and also managed purchasing at the Mannheim fashion retailer Engelhorn from 2010 to 2014.
Rusche’s appointment at P&C comes after the retailer parted ways with several purchasing executives late last year. Kai Stolte, buying director for womenswear, Stefan Jakobs, who previously headed purchasing for menswear, and Björn Stolte, who was responsible for supplier controlling and management as division manager, had to leave in November. This change was part of a strategic realignment of purchasing in Germany, it was said from Düsseldorf.
