Nonew year’s news, Red Carpet – VIPs on the carpet is a new Prime show hosted by Alessia Marcuzzi in the company of the sarcastic voices of the Gialappas Band. Divided into four episodes and in three teams of bodyguards (all famous comedians) dealing with a VIP to protect and escort along a path full of hilarious obstacles, the game mixes irony, action and hilarious challenges. A light-hearted and original game with which Marcuzzi returns to hosting after a couple of years’ break.

In this new successful format created by Nippon TV, a show with a mechanism that is as simple as it is effective. Alessia plays the role of the boss of a mysterious bodyguard agency in which the Bodyguards are divided into three teams: the Branzinos (Brenda Lodigiani, Herbert Ballerina and Antonio Ornano), the Platypuses (Geneva Fenyes, Awed and Pierluca Mariti) and the Baboons (Francesco Arienzo, Michela Giraud and Gabriele Vagnato). These teams are assigned three divas to protect: Elettra Lamborghini to the Branzinos, Cristiano Malgioglio to the Ornitorincos and Valeria Marini to the Baboons.
THE trios must escort their respective stars along a path full of obstacles – some really funny – towards their limousine. The only rule of the game: don’t let them leave the red carpet, under penalty of losing a bodyguard. The two teams that take the least time to complete the routecreated in the garden of a splendid villa, they win the race and access the final.
A final in which there will be two new VIPs to escort: or Melissa Satta and Giulia De Lellis.

Boss Alessia Marcuzzi’s three bodyguard teams: Branzinos, Ornitorincos and Babbuinos
Brenda Lodigiani is the only woman of the Branzinos. Lodigiani is a comedian on the rise thanks to the participation in the third edition of LOL – Whoever laughs is out – where he brought some cult imitations like those of Diletta Leotta and Chiara Ferragni. Today he is one of the stars of Gialappashow where he hit the mark again thanks to the parody of the pop star Annalisa. Sketches, gags galore and a healthy dose of zany comedy. Red Carpet it’s a hilarious Japanese format, just like the ones that Gialappas showed in the 90s in their legendary show Never say banzai. And this is precisely what makes it a winning product and absolutely perfect for the team of conductors. The agreement between the Gialappis and Alessia Marcuzzi has been in place for a very long time now – the first collaboration dates back to Never say goal from 1988 – and it works perfectly even after many years.
Red Carpet It also benefits from the short length of each episode, around 30 minuteswhere it is truly impossible to get bored when faced with misadventures involving VIPs and teams of bodyguards. A special mention to Valeria Marini who, together with her bodyguard Michela Giraud, provides some moments of absolute comedy, especially when the legendary Valery has to literally crawl on the red carpet to avoid a giant rubber ball hitting her in the face (and ruining her makeup).

Protagonists of Red Carpet together with their bodyguard teams, many VIPs who have decided to get involved in a hilarious way. Celebrities to be escorted in the first episode Elettra Lamborghini, singer and influencer who in recent months has been working on a new musical project that is still top secret. Official confirmation is still missing but the the usual well-informed people say that Giulia will have a space within the program where she will comment on the Bigs’ looks in the race.
