Nothing escapes the eagle eyes of the fans
The second season of the series celebrated its debut on Netflix on December 26, 2024 and, with 68 million viewers in the first three days, surpassed the record holder “Wednesday” with its 50.1 million viewers. The series with Lee Jung-jae in the lead role even landed at number 1 in over 92 countries. Fans and critics were enthusiastic about the continuation of the story about the ominous and deadly competition.
But the successful series no longer just makes fans amazed or frightened, but rather makes them laugh. A user shared a screenshot on X. And in addition to the actors, you can see someone else in the picture, dressed entirely in black and with a camera hoisted on his shoulder: a cameraman, in the middle of the scene.
Accidental mistake or secret Easter egg?
The mood on the Internet is changing. In addition to numerous outraged comments like “This series used to have a great first season. Now they can’t even manage to shoot properly anymore,” or “That’s ruining everything for me,” but other fans can’t be stopped and crack one joke after another. Comments like “Bro got paid twice for filming and acting” or “Oops! Plot twist: He’s just another player dressed up as a ‘cameraman,'” adorn the comments section of the post on X. Another user also takes the slip with humor and writes: “I love funny ones like that Stuff and hope they don’t get digitally removed.”
There is speculation: Is this another intentionally placed clue, or is it actually just a small mistake? Fans are unsure. The unwanted (or perhaps wanted?) guest appearance is compared to other awkwardness in famous series and films that could not escape the eagle eyes of fans. At the forefront of the most popular misadventures is the paper cup from Starbucks, which can be spotted on a set table in a scene in “Game of Thrones”.
The makers of the show have not yet reported the faux pas. Whether it was intentional or not remains an open question.
