They got married around the holidays: Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and Martha Riemsma, the new boss of the ANP. It was a whole casual wedding. In fact, she was just wearing a turtleneck sweater. The dark side to the wedding day? Matthijs’ children were deliberately not present.
Maisonette
The weekly magazine Party is already worried about the two’s marriage. “THIS KEEP HIS WIFE BEHIND HAND!” reads the sensational headline. “Despite everything, Martha still keeps her maisonette in Enschede,” an investigative journalist from the magazine has discovered.
She bought this house in 2019 for an amount of 390 thousand euros and had a mortgage on it for 450 thousand euros. “Its value is now around 680 thousand euros; a nice piggy bank.”
Security
The Party wonders whether Martha is already taking a possible divorce into account. “Is Martha keeping the apartment just to be on the safe side, because she has been divorced before and in that case she does not want to be left without a home? Or do her two sons, whom she had from a previous marriage, live there? As far as we know, the maisonette has not been rented.”
