Telegram’s new verification tokens are not issued by Telegram itself.

On the Internet, the thing that increases trust between two parties the most is that each knows the other to be who he claims to be. This greatly prevents the possibility of being scammed.
One method against fraudsters is a verification token issued to a genuine user. However, it requires a lot of work from the larger platforms to sort out the applications of all those who want the mark.
The instant messaging service Telegram has come up with an alternative solution: you can also get the verification token from somewhere other than Telegram itself. The service announced this in a post published on New Year’s Day in the update.
The idea behind the reform is that various established entities will issue tokens to the tokens associated with them.
In the example image of the Telegram update, the “Food Standards Agency” has secured the Telegram ID of the fast food chain. The ID of the Mandarin study group, on the other hand, has received its verification mark from the “Educational Standards Authority”.
News about it The Verge points out that the new verification tokens are different from the traditional ones. In Telegram, the usual verification mark is a blue ball with wavy edges and a white “correct” symbol.
On the other hand, there are several different new characters based on Telegram’s update. For example, the symbol given to a restaurant chain is a blue carrot, while the corresponding symbol for a language learning service is a book.
Each badge issuer’s badge is different. When the user clicks on the profile of another user who has received the badge, it also says which body has awarded it the badge.
Only entities whose bots have already been certified by Telegram can apply to be a token issuer. The goal of the reform is not only to prevent scams, but also to prevent the spread of incorrect information in the service.
