Restaurateur and chef Akseli Herlevi says directly that he does not blame the prevailing circumstances for his bankruptcy.
– A large number of mistakes have been made. Some can manage even in this weather, but we couldn’t, he states in his honest style.
Herlevi had a hard time in the morning when he announced the end of work to his staff.
– It’s such a damn shame that they got into this situation. Everyone knows the salary in the restaurant industry and the high cost of living in the capital region. I try to help everyone with letters of recommendation and work certificates.
Herlevi states that everything possible has been tried to improve the company’s profitability, so he does not feel that something should have been done.
– It won’t change anything anymore. It’s like this now, everything has been tried. I can accept the situation and myself better because of it.
As a last resort, an attempt was made at Christmas time to raise money through a subscription rights issue, but it was not successful.
– We ourselves got ourselves into trouble because the situation didn’t get better, only worse. January and February are normally a difficult time. I no longer trusted that any miracles would happen, so it’s better to tear off the patch before there is more damage, Herlevi describes.
Herlevi states that there are such a huge number of different mistakes that he has now tried to analyze in order not to make them again.
– This is such a heavy price that I would like to avoid doing them again.
Herlevi assures that his gloves do not drip. He doesn’t feel like it’s never worth trying again.
– I’m not completely exhausted. I’m always thinking about idiks, but more on that later. I would like to continue as an entrepreneur.
Naughty Brgr started in 2011. In 2015, the first restaurant opened. Gradually, franchise restaurants also joined, which continue to operate today. You can still eat Naughty Brgr’s food tomorrow in Oulu, Seinäjoki, Jyväskylä, central Tampere and Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

In any case, Herlevi does not want to blame customers.
– If a person thinks about how to manage for the whole month, restaurant visits will inevitably be missed.
