The Hoogeveen company Lanting Reizen becomes owner of SRC Reizen in Groningen. The latter has been organizing individual and group trips for holidaymakers since the 1980s.

Entrepreneur Wibo Anema started the StudentenReisClub in 1983, which was later renamed SRC Reizen. But after a number of turbulent years, including corona and financial setbacks, he has decided to sell his company.

Anema has been renting buses from Lanting Reizen from Hoogeveen for twenty years. He sees a suitable successor in the company. Not much will change in the formula, because the new owners say they want to continue in the same way.

To ensure this goes smoothly, Anema will stay on as an advisor at the company for another three years. “We have come to love SRC Reizen through many years of collaboration,” says owner Nick Lanting.

Anema was at the helm of SRC Reizen for almost 42 years. During that period, his company was part of travel organization OAD for about ten years. However, that company went bankrupt, so Anema continued under its own flag again.

Lanting Reizen was already declared bankrupt by the judge in 2020. The company pulled the plug on a partnership with carrier Flixbus. This created a debt, but the company was eventually able to restart.
