According to Okas, prejudices or feelings of fandom quickly disappear when you get to work in the same studios with international stars.
– The first bigger artists were a bit nervous, but very quickly in that studio environment you notice that we are all equal and doing the same thing, that is the song, as well as possible, he says.
As one of his most memorable experiences with world stars, Okas coincidentally names ending up in a joint studio in the summer of 2023 at the time of Ruisrock. At that time, the American rap artist Lil Nas X, who is known among other things, performed in Ruissalo in Turku Old Town Road – from his hit.
– A true randomist ended up in a studio session. It went really well and the guy’s gig was actually delayed in Ruissi because we were in the studio with him.
After the Ruisrock gig, the artist returned to the studio with Okas and Kauppinen and ended up flying the duo with him on tour as well.
– It was a really cool, really ex tempore experience.
Daniel Okas once became famous through, among other things, his YouTube videos and, among other things, the work done with his friend, the artist Tuuli Justinfrom the song. The duo’s collaboration has continued for a long time, as Okas’s handprint can also be seen on Tuuli’s fresh Dry the tears on the album.
