The Nerazzurri captain doesn’t hide his disappointment: “The hunger was there but we wasted and we allowed Milan too many counterattacks”

Milan takes home the Super Cup, an unexpected epilogue with Inter ahead by two goals, and it is the Nerazzurri captain himself who explains to Mediaset what happened, without looking for alibis: “The first half remains positive, in the second half we are came out correctly but after the 2-0 Inter stopped playing. The intensity they had up to that point was over. In these types of matches, you pay for these things.”

We had opportunities, but incidents change matches and we weren’t good at manage. Milan didn’t stop believing in it, credit to them. Explaining what happened is difficult. We knew that Milan’s best weapon is the counterattacks but we weren’t good at scoring either or in front of goal and then this kind of defeats can happen.”
