The queen of cross-country skiing works, rides a motorbike and builds stone houses: “How much nostalgia… I cried for Pantani and Espargarò, I suffered from the rivalry with Manuela Di Centa but today it’s all over. And I dream of commentating on the races in TV”
Stefania Belmondo sees the best years of her life every time she dusts. “It would be nice to be able to stop every now and then and think about it, we are always in a rush. But when I clean the noticeboards with the medals then I touch them and fly with my imagination. I realize that I have lived unrepeatable years, the most beautiful moments of my life together with birth of my children”. Mathias is 21 years old, he graduated as a mechanical expert and works in his father’s workshop. Lorenzo is 19, he does alpine skiing, maybe one day he will be an instructor. “I’m glad they didn’t choose the fund, they would always have measured them against me and it would have been an injustice.”
