The show will be staged from Piazza San Marco, in Venice. And there, surrounded by the majesty of the Basilica of San Marco and the Campanile, Red Canzian, Dodi Battaglia, Roby Facchinetti and Riccardo Fogli will go on stage to share decades of music history with the audience and viewers.
The promo in rotation these days promises “a special evening, an unmissable show”. And in all likelihood this will be the case, considering that the band has conquered Italian music, leaving an indelible mark. The title of the concert, Pooh – We are friends foreverrecalls the title of the famous one Friends forevercontained in the album of the same name released in 1996.
The song is considered a true manifesto of the friendship that binds the members of the band, which also included drummer Stefano D’Orazio, who died in 2020. A friendship born in the 60s in Bologna and consolidated in 1973, with the arrival of Red Canzian in the group. Like any self-respecting long-standing relationship, there was no shortage of ups and downs. In particular, those with Riccardo Fogli who left the band in 1973 to return in 2015.

In 1981 it was the turn of Who will stop the musicfollowed by other hits until 1990 with the victory at the Sanremo Festival. The song was Lonely menwhich quickly became one of the key songs in their discography.
After a period of crisis, in 1996 they regained the stage with My friend’s womanand then replied in 1999 with Tell me yes. However, after four decades of success, in 2009 Stefano D’Orazio decided to leave the group and then return in 2015. Thus it began a new phase that ended in 2016 with the farewell tour. The distance from the scene, however, ended in 2023, when the band participated in the Sanremo Festival with a medley of their greatest hits and a tribute to Stefano D’Orazio.
