The performance of the Tampere theater’s giant production aroused resentment in some of the viewers. The Lord of the Rings In the performance of the play, Mikko Kanninen, the director of the play himself and the managing director of the Tampere Theatre, who replaced Ville Majamaata in the role of Gandalf, was exceptionally seen on stage.

Among others, a social media influencer and a color expert commented on the exceptional display Tuuli Lavia-Miettinenwho was in the audience of the play on Thursday and talked about the experience on his Instagram account.

– I liked it, but I didn’t love it. I’m a pretty big fan of books and movies and I was expecting a lot from this one. Perhaps the expectations were not met. What bothered me the most today was that Gandalf’s actor had to be replaced on a quick schedule and he read all the lines directly from the paper, Lavia-Miettinen wrote in his Instagram story.

Instagram stories are available for viewing 24 hours after their publication.

– Latisti from the feeling, he added.

Be the first to report on it Ilta-Sanomat. The newspaper was contacted by a reader who also complained about the lines read from the paper and questioned whether the play’s backup crew was okay.

Iltalehti caught up with Kanninen, who said that the disappointed feedback about the show has not reached him. It was a temporary repair and Kannist will not be seen in the show today, Saturday, January 4.

– The feedback we get is invariably that, fortunately, the show was realized. Patches are always handled so that it does not interfere with the performance, Kanninen tells Iltalehte.

He points out that plays or concerts are never exactly the same, if, for example, you went to listen to the same concert ten nights in a row.

Mikko Kanninen, the director of the Lord of the Rings play, says that they have been largely satisfied with the play. Antti Yrjönen

– We always strive for the best possible result on stage. The first thing to do is the safety of both performers and spectators. There’s quite a lot to do in a four-hour show, Kanninen explains.

According to Kanninen, in the play based on JRR Tolkien’s classic work, for example, you can see about 60 different set changes.

– I see it as the director trying to enable the performance of the other actors as well as possible. In a production of this size, the lines have to be perfect, because they are a blow to, for example, the people in charge of the lights and the set changers who follow a certain word.

However, Lavia-Miettinen, who was not satisfied with the performance of the lines, praised the work’s music, sets and the performances of several actors. Ella Mettänen, who played Frodo, and was seen in the role of Klonku, also received praise Risto Korhonen as well as the play Aragorn ie Antti Reini.

According to Kanninen, there has been no otherwise disappointing feedback from the play and the performances have been sold out for a long time. He emphasizes that if he received disappointing feedback personally, he would like to make sure if something can be done about it afterwards.

It’s been a long time coming The Lord of the Rings -play will be performed for one more week in Tampere-talo.
