Jim Bakkum gets a big swipe from a TV critic from NRC. He thinks that the singer came across as very superficial in the winter special of Casa di Beau. “Superficial.”
It’s starting to become a bit of a dime a dozen TV, those programs in which Beau van Erven Dorens puts a number of random celebrities through their paces. This week he hosted Roos Moggré, Rob Jetten and Jim Bakkum in his TV show Casa di Beau. Well, not exactly a stay-at-home threesome, so to speak. However, Beau has to make do with this.
Jim’s issue
Toef Jaeger, TV critic from NRC, watched it and thought it was very poor television. “You can’t breed superficiality, some people are just prone to it,” he sneers in the newspaper.
Who is he talking about? Jim Bakkum, who was sitting in a warm bath with Beau and Rob. “Bakkum shared an issue that concerned him: for a long time he was only judged by his appearance, but he received no praise for his passion: singing. ‘You sing like a goat,’ they would say, he said in that bath.”
Robot
Beau then wanted to know more about the chip that Rob Jetten has near his heart. It was placed after he had heart failure at the age of 27. “Still a robot,” Jim noted.
TV critic Toef: “He liked his own joke and made it when he was asked about Jetten’s breakfast at another time. He said that he often had five or six cups of coffee before going to the ‘office’ (the House of Representatives). Bakkum: ‘You think: they call me a robot, so ehhh…’
Super battery
Like this basicthat Toef thinks so. “He didn’t know exactly how to finish his joke, so Jetten gave him a helping hand: ‘Yes, then I’ll just put a super battery in it.’ A bit embarrassing, but not surprising because Bakkum was noticeably the only one in the Lech casa who had not prepared himself for the other guests.”
“He did not remember that Moggré had ever interviewed him and he had apparently once heard that Jetten was a robot, so the ‘joke’ was Bakkum’s entire repertoire regarding Jetten. How would Jim Bakkum have behaved in class?”
