Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” is the most streamed Spotify song of the year.
As US music label Interscope announced on Thursday (January 2), Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” rose to the top of the streaming provider’s year-end song statistics in the final weeks of 2024. The song had a total of 1.781 billion streams on Spotify as of the reporting date.
The song had previously ranked third in Spotify’s Wrapped annual review. Only Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” and Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” were played more often. The former has been streamed 1.778 billion times on the platform so far. Afterwards, the hit from the album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, which can also be heard in many Instagram and TikTok clips, got another push before the turn of the year.
Billie Eilish stays on the charts
Less than eight months ago, the nine-time Grammy winner released “Birds of a Feather” on her third album. The song reached number two on the US Billboard Hot 100, and in Germany it reached number four (the song has now been pushed down from the usual Christmas songs to number 31, among other things). In September, Eilish released a music video for “Birds of a Feather” directed by Aidan Zamiri:
In October she performed the song on Saturday Night Live:
Eilish is currently taking a holiday break from her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour, which ended in North America on December 21 after a five-night stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. She will then continue her tour with a series of shows in Australia in February. Their 35-show European tour starts in April.
The following dates are planned:
May 2nd, 2025, Hanover – ZAG Arena
May 9, 2025, Berlin – Uber Arena
May 29, 2025, Cologne – Lanxess Arena
May 30, 2025, Cologne – Lanxess Arena
June 6th, 2025, Vienna – Stadthalle
There was already a huge rush for tickets for Billie Eilish during the pre-sale – the shows are now considered sold out, but it may happen that a few tickets become available shortly beforehand for production reasons. Alternatively, you can take advantage of the official fan sale to secure a ticket. However, third-party sites such as Viagogo and Co., which sometimes have very dubious and overpriced offers, are not recommended.
