A van driver got out of his car in time on Friday afternoon after the car fell into the water in the Stieltjeskanaal.
For unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car, after which the car left the road and went into the water. The driver was able to get out of the car himself, after which the car sank.
Ambulance personnel checked the driver and took him to hospital with unknown injuries. The road is temporarily closed for investigation.
