The whole of Rotterdam held its breath yesterday. After a third shooting in a short time in the same neighborhood, in which yet another innocent elderly man was shot, the police said they “strongly suspect” that one perpetrator is behind all the attacks. A major manhunt for the shooter ended around 11:15 p.m. with the arrest of a 24-year-old suspect. Shortly before his arrest, the police reported that the 81-year-old victim of yesterday’s shooting had also unfortunately died. The two other victims also did not survive.
