Only 4 short appearances since the change

With 18 goals in 19 games, Alemannia Aachen has the weakest offense in the 3rd league. The fact that they still have 25 points and 13th place is mainly due to the strong defense (21 goals conceded). Nevertheless, the newcomers were forced to step up their attack and signed Niklas Castelle from SSV Ulm on loan until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old attacker only moved from Schalke 04’s second team to the Spatzen in the summer, but the jump to the 2nd Bundesliga was a bit too big. Only four short appearances totaling 22 minutes were made in the first half of the season, so a loan for more match practice is the logical conclusion.
Aachen’s managing director and sports director Sascha Eller is looking forward to “a dynamic and strong striker for us who will strengthen our offensive well. We are convinced that with his quality he can become an important factor for our goals in the second half of the season.”
