The cyber truck of influencer, rapper and nutritional supplement trader Kosso continues to stir people’s minds. After Omroep Brabant reported that the car he allegedly bought in Oisterwijk has not yet been paid for, a new problem now arises. Kosso suddenly reports that he does not intend to pay for the car, which weighs almost two tons. Du Parc sees it differently, which means the case could easily become an expensive joke for the rapper.
Kosso recently made the news when he bought the Tesla Cybertruck from car dealer Du Parc in Oisterwijk. Omroep Brabant revealed on Tuesday that the truck never left Oisterwijk, because Kosso only made a down payment. The copy he drives around with in his videos is therefore a different one. The truck at Du Parc even appears to still be for sale. Interested parties will receive a photo of the car, which is hidden behind a shed.
What is true?
Initially, Kosso denied that there was a second truck. He told Omroep Brabant that he had indeed bought the truck in Oisterwijk and was now driving it around. He dismissed the news as jealousy on his social media channels. “What kind of inner hatred and envy is this, to vomit,” he also said via WhatsApp.
On Wednesday evening, the entrepreneur suddenly changed his story. He now reported that he did not buy the car from Du Parc but only ‘reserved’ it. About the amount he still owes, according to Du Parc, he says: “I canceled the reservation, so there is no remaining (sic) part.” Kosso clearly does not intend to pay for the car anymore.
Compensation
And that has not yet said the last word on this matter. Du Parc maintains that the car was purchased by Kosso and that he has already made a down payment. Legally, this is seen as confirmation of the purchase. Du Parc owner Rob de Koster said he would discuss the matter with Kosso on Friday.
There is a chance that this whole episode will become an expensive joke for the influencer. Last summer, the judge ruled that a man who wanted to buy a second-hand Lamborghini for 236,000 euros from Du Parc and suddenly decided against it, deep in the pocket had to grope. He had to pay more than 35,000 euros in damages to the car dealer because he had not fulfilled his agreement.
