Ypres water tower sold for 130,000 euros

The water tower on the Meenseweg in Ypres is the last water tower in the city of Ypres. The owner, De Watergroep, asked 75,000 euros for it, but the tower was eventually sold for 130,000 euros.

Plans for homes

The water tower dates from the early 1920s. The reservoir brought water from Dikkebusvijver to the Ieperlingen. The tower has not been used for years.

The new owner, a project developer from Deerlijk, wants to make three homes in it.
