No mockery, just ritual representation, but the amused face of the Nerazzurri president and the much less happy face of the Rossoneri legend spoke for themselves. Today Inter, Atalanta, Milan and Juve, accompanied by the Lega Calcio, presented themselves together at an official meeting in the residence of the Italian ambassador in Riyadh, Carlo Baldocci, who initially wanted to welcome the troops and then spoke about the importance of the event in the city. For the League there were the new president Ezio Simonelli and the CEO Luigi De Siervo; for Inter the president Marotta and the corporate CEO Alessandro Antonello; for Milan, in addition to Ibra, the technical director Geoffrey Moncada; for Atalanta both Antonio and Luca Percassi, president and CEO of the club respectively; for Juve the president Gianluca Ferrero, the head of marketing Francesco Calvo and the club’s ambassador Giorgio Chiellini. After the ritual greetings from the authorities and managers, the moment arrived for the exchange of gifts between all the participants in the meeting: Inter had with them a shielded shirt which they donated to the ambassador and the representatives of the other teams together to a silver platter, Juventus prepared the same gifts for everyone, while Atalanta opted for a plaque in addition to the shirt. Milan, on the other hand, is exclusively a celebratory dish: also for this reason Ibra was unable to “respond” with a red and black shirt to give to Marotta and the others, after the Nerazzurri one in his hands had captured attention and entertained. In short, the atmosphere is relaxed for a few more hours, then everything will be different on the pitch tonight.
