While chewing on mine banh mi I look at the pouring rain outside. The thought that I will have to walk through that, back to the hotel, repulses me. My eyes catch a family of four walking along. Mother and father with baby walking on the sidewalk. Their young daughter stubbornly goes through all the puddles of water with her pink sandals.

“Yes, of course it can be done that way,” I think, as I look at them. I pay and once outside I decide to follow her example. My inner child laughs all the way home.
