‘Monster of Avignon’ wants to spare Gisèle another ordeal, seventeen other convicts will appeal

17 of the 51 men found guilty at Gisèle Pelicot’s rape trial have appealed their convictions. This was announced by the court of appeal in the southern French city of Nîmes. The ‘monster of Avignon’ Dominique Pelicot (72) will leave the matter alone. Earlier this month, the judge sentenced him to twenty years in prison for drugging, raping and allowing his wife Gisèle Pelicot to be raped for years.
