Eva Jinek has almost a full-time job these days, but during her years at RTL she mainly lounged at home. Did she discover some nice programs and series during that time?
It will take some time for Eva Jinek to get used to the fact that she is now expected to be on television four days a week. RTL boss Peter van der Vorst convinced them to make one premium to receive a salary for three months’ work, and the rest of the time? She lay in the garden on one stretcher. Or just sit on the couch watching movies and series.
White Lotus
Does Eva have some nice tips for us from that time? What is her favorite drama series? “I’m looking forward to the third season of White Lotus on HBO Max. I started watching by chance, without any prior knowledge, and was completely sucked in,” she says in the authoritative TV guide TROS Kompas.
“It’s grim, witty and absurd, filmed in a beautiful setting. And it is not an infantile series. It has sharp edges, I like that. And Jennifer Coolidge is the end all be all.”
I’m leaving
And when it comes to Dutch TV programs? Then she mentions something about her own AvroTros. “I Depart continues to be delicious. I love watching people who have the balls to embark on a foreign adventure, even if they don’t speak the language or everything is not arranged there.”
Oprah Winfrey is her TV hero from the past. “I grew up with her, as a child in America and later in the Netherlands. When I lived in a student house, my best friend and I would watch Oprah from the bed in the morning, with a large pot of coffee next to us. She really is a great example in her personal way of interviewing.”
