Un another year he goes away, and leaves behind a slew of looks to remember. Especially on the Royal side: Queens and Princesses, despite everything, carried the flag of their respective lineages high. Result: a boost to trends, Maisons but also lesser-known names. Thanks to Kate Middleton, Letizia of Spain, Meghan Markle, Beatrice Borromeo & Co., royal fashion dominated 2024 with surprise new outfits and studied recycles.
The return of the Princess of Wales to the scene after her cancer diagnosis was definitely the saddest, and at the same time surprising, event of the year. But Queen Letizia has also been busy with her thousand institutional commitments, including the very recent (and glamorous) visit to Italy. Monaco National Day 2024 saw a Royal Look parade to remember. In short, we leave behind 365 days full of style.
The best Royal looks of 2024
The rumors at the beginning of 2024, then the confirmation with a video message released on social media in March. The illness did not stop Kate Middleton, who jumped to the top of the list of the best dressed of the year with her courageous Royal looks. At least two, ones that we won’t easily forget: starting from the first for the Trooping the Color 2024 parade in London in June. Her first public appearance after the diagnosis was the white dress with contrasting details that she had already worn at the coronation of King Charles III (signed Jenny Packham) combined with the hat of Philip Treacy.
Even on the occasion of his second public appearance, the Wimbledon tournament in July 2024, Kate Middleton she wore a look that caused a lot of discussion: the bright purple dress, signed Safiyaapaired with Camilla Elphick slingbacks and bag Milly nude color by LK Bennett. The dress generated $4.8 million in Media Impact Value for the brand according to the Launchmetrics platform, as reported by Wwd.

From Kate Middleton to Meghan Markle: the Queens of recycling
Not just Kate. At the English court there is at least one other Queen when it comes to the best Royal looks, and her name is Meghan. Markle, despite being out of the picture, remains the boldest Duchess. AND follows in her sister-in-law’s footsteps when it comes to re-wear and sustainability: its most visible release of 2024, the red cut-out dress by Carolina Herrera which he had already worn, not without causing a stir, at the Salute To Freedom Gala in 2021.

Letizia of Spain, always impeccable
In Spain, despite the devastation caused by the flood last November 2024, Letizia Ortiz has kept her public approval rating high also thanks to her way of dressingas well as the proverbial elegance of manners and gestures. The tears and the face dirty with mud, but also some of the most beautiful Royal Looks ever: just think of the exit in Amsterdam in April 2024, with the very elegant Royal Blue dress with draping on the shoulder. A creation specifically chosen to pay homage to the Netherlands: the dress is in fact signed Benchellala brand founded by Mohamed Benchellal, a Dutch designer.
Among his best Royal Looks of the year, the casual one chosen at the hearing with the delegation of the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI) in March 2024: high-waisted green cargo trousers, crew neck and belt at the waist, signed Hugo Boss. To be copied throughout 2025.
The most glamorous? Rania of Jordan. And the women of the Grimaldi house
Last but not leastthe other crowned heads around the world. From Jordan Queen Rania54, stunned the globe with the Royal Look chosen to meet members of the Business Women’s Association in November 2024. An ensemble trendy, all Italian: trousers with stirrup (Bottega Veneta) and fitted blazer (Sportmax).
