Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has already scored eleven goals this season. There is great interest from other teams.

Alexander Isak has been a striker for Newcastle United for two and a half years. Since then, he has scored 42 goals in 68 Premier League games and prepared eight more goals. Isak is the key player in the Magpies’ offensive, and thanks to him they were able to play in the Champions League in the 2023/24 season.

The 25-year-old is also convincing in the current season and has already contributed 15 goals in 16 games. This arouses the interest of the competition. Chelsea FC in particular is said to have the Swede, who was under contract with BVB from 2017 to 2019, on their list. Arsenal FC and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested.

But a transfer of the striker would be expensive. As the English newspaper “Telegraph” reports, Newcastle is demanding a sum of 150 million pounds for Isak. Converted into euros, that would be 180 million. A price that could deter many clubs.

However, given his contract runs until 2028, Newcastle are under no pressure to sell Isak. Quite the opposite: the club from the north of England is said to be much more interested in an extension with the 25-year-old.

That would also be in the spirit of trainer Eddie Howe, who gave him the title “world class” a week ago. “There is no-one at Newcastle who wants to let him go. He is part of our long-term plans. He is first class,” added Howe. The Englishman could hardly stop praising Isak: “He is very popular in the dressing room, which is not always the case with a goalscorer. But he plays for the team, not just for himself, and he is always ready to learn. I can’t rave about him enough.”
